No. They tap your ZeroTag, and it opens the share experience on their phone's default browser.
ZeroTag uses passive NFC (near field communication) technology. They store a small amount of data and are powered by user's phones. They are similar to EFPOS or tap-to-pay machines, but need a much closer distance to tap (about a centimetre).
No, ZeroTag NFCs draw power from users' mobile phones, so there are no moving parts nor battery to worry about. They typically can last 10 years or more.
Yes. For iPhone, starting from iPhone XS/XR. For Android, almost all are compatible (check with your brand). No app required.
